Shoreline Walks Free Community Walks Program

Explore neighborhoods, parks and trails on some of the best walking routes in our City. Designed for adults ages 50+ but open to all ages and abilities, each walk is led by a Volunteer Walk Leader and all walks are free. No need to sign up, just show up at the meetup location and we'll take care of the rest! Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to join.

Join us for a free community walk, part of Shoreline Walks. No registration required, just show up and walk with us!

Parkwood Elementary School to "Apartment-land"
We will walk past the school up a fairly long hill through the Parkwood neighborhood, then work our way down and though the complex of apartment buildings under construction west of the 148th St Light rail Station seeing them in their various phases of construction. If the weather is favorable, we will cross 145th and walk through the Lakeside School campus, then backtrack to Twin Ponds Park. Otherwise we will go directly to the park where we will walk on a trail along the edge of one of the ponds on our way back to the Parkwood School.
Walk is: 3 miles/2 hours.
Walk rating: Moderate (some hills and trails)
Meet at: Parkwood Elementary School, 1815 N 155th St, Shoreline. Park in lot located on N 155th St.
