Project Overview
The sewage pumping station, or lift station, at the intersection of Richmond Beach Drive NW and NW 195th Place collects wastewater from Shoreline homes and businesses near Puget Sound and pumps it into the King County wastewater collection system.
This project will make improvements to the wastewater lift station and stormwater facilities located near the intersection of Richmond Beach Drive NW and NW 195th Place.
Improvements include:
- Replacement of pumps
- Installation of a new flow meter vault
- Miscellaneous pump building and site improvements
- Installation of stormwater bypass pipe and manholes
Project Location
The project limits include the intersection of Richmond Beach Drive NW and NW 195th Place and the City-owned pump building adjacent to the intersection. Project limits in the image above are approximate.
Project Timeline
- Preliminary Design: October 2023-April 2024
- Final Design: May 2025
- Construction: Summer 2025 estimated construction period of 60 working days.
Construction Impacts
Construction of this project may require full closure of the intersection of Richmond Beach Drive NW and NW 195th Place. Traffic control measures will likely include detour signage and temporary construction barricades. Driveway access will be maintained.
We will mail a construction notification postcard to residents within 500 feet of the project before construction begins.
Tree Impacts
This project may require the removal of one to two small trees within the lift station fenced area.
