Shoreline Walks Free Community Walks Program

Explore neighborhoods, parks and trails on some of the best walking routes in our City. Designed for adults ages 50+ but open to all ages and abilities, each walk is led by a Volunteer Walk Leader and all walks are free. No need to sign up, just show up at the meetup location and we'll take care of the rest! Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to join.

Richmond Beach Waterfront
We will start from the Richmond Beach Community Park and make our way down to the waterfront via 199th Street. We will stop at  Kayu Kayu Ac Park and then follow Richmond Beach Drive South, making a detour across  the bridge to check out the homes on 27th Ave. Back on Richmond Beach Drive South we will pass the Cabin Tavern, then head up the hill to Richmond Beach Salt Water Park. On the way  back to our parking spot we will  loop through the Strandberg Preserve.
Walk Rating: Moderate (some long hills and trails)
Walk is approximately: 3.2 miles / 2 hours
Meet at: Group will meet at North side of Richmond Beach Community Park, next to tennis courts, 2201 NW 197th St. Shoreline.  
Parking:  Street parking only please. Park along NW 197th St. or along neighborhood streets.  (Be sure to come early as latecomers might have a bit of a walk from their parking spot.)
