2022 Official Population Estimate; WA Office of Financial Management – 60,320
Every year the State of Washington provides the official population estimate for cities and counties in Washington. This is called the Office of Financial Management April 1st Estimate. This is an increase from 2020 - 58,608.
American Community Survey
Beginning in 2005, the more detailed characteristics of the population, including economic, social, housing and financial characteristics, formerly collected on a sample basis through the Census Long-Form, are now collected through the American Community Survey (ACS). Unlike the Census, which is a point in time count, the American Community Survey collects sample data from about three million addresses nearly every day and summarizes it over 1, 3 and 5 year periods.
