Construction reached substantial completion in November 2020. However, the project was considered complete in December 2021 after the one-year plant establishment ended.

Project Overview:

The City of Shoreline designed sidewalk improvements for N 200th Street between Ashworth Avenue N and Meridian Avenue N. The design repaired and replaced existing concrete sidewalks damaged by tree roots, cracking, or settlement.

These improvements were part of the City’s Sidewalk Rehabilitation Program, repairing sidewalks throughout the City. The program addresses locations throughout the City where improvements are needed to increase the accessibility and safety of the users of the City’s sidewalk system by:

  • Removing barriers and increasing/ enhancing accessibility in the community.
  • Eliminating damaged section and completing missing links in the existing system.

In November 2020, the City of Shoreline constructed sidewalk improvements on two additional locations on the south side of N 200th Street. (Locations indicated by triangles on map below.)

Schedule

  • Completed Design: Spring 2020
  • Public Outreach: 
    • On June 25, 2020, the City mailed letters to residents that will be directly impacted by the construction taking place in front of their home.
    • On August 6, 2020 the City mailed a Construction Notification postcard to residents located within the project area.
  • Out to Bid: End of July 2020
  • Construction: September 2020 through November 2020
