Schedule

  • Construction began in December 2022.

Tree Impacts

No trees were removed for this project. We consulted an arborist to ensure this project would not damage roots to a tree on an adjacent property.

Overview and History

The Ballinger Maintenance Facility, located at 20035 Ballinger Way NE, is one of three sites in the city that have been identified as part of the City Maintenance Facility Project (CMF), which is intended to serve the entire City’s maintenance needs.

The Ballinger Maintenance Facility improvements will generally include:

  • An enclosed 950 square-foot single-story building for equipment storage
  • Three canopy structures totaling approximately 7,500 square-feet to facilitate: 
    • Salt storage and decant street sweepings
    • Vehicle washing
    • Vehicle fueling
    • Site improvements such as new asphalt and concrete

Community Outreach

The public was invited to an online webinar with a question and answer session on October 4, 2021. Engagement by phone and email to the project manager was also encouraged between September 21 and October 4 for participants to provide feedback.
