For projects still underway, requests for an extension must be received prior to permit expiration. Failure to submit a request for an extension or if verifiable progress cannot be determined at the time of inspection, you may be required to obtain a new permit prior to continuing work. If a new permit is required you will have to reapply and there will be new permit fees (minimum $651.00). [Ord. 633 § 1, 2012; Ord. 627 § 2, 2012; Ord. 339 § 1, 2003]

Additionally, a new permit will be reviewed under current standards in place at that point in time the new permit application is submitted. We will contact you within one week of your request to let you know if your extension is approved. If approved this extension may be extended for up to an additional 180 days.

Upon approval of the extension these forms must be submitted together:

  1. Renewal fee of $250.00* (minimum). If additional inspections are needed, additional fees will be assessed.
  2. Provide Certificate of Liability insurance - naming the City of Shoreline as additional insured.
