Permit records can be found online or through a Public Records Request depending on the age of the record.

  • 2001 – Present: Use eTRAKiT to search for permits or search for projects. Permits allow for physical work, such as new buildings, grading work or tree removals. Projects are higher-level and allow for special or conditional uses, subdivide land, or alter lot lines.
  • August 1995 – December 2000: Submit  a Request for Disclosure of Public Records form through the City Clerk's office.
  • Earlier than August 1995: contact King County Department of Local Services – Permitting Division (King County DLS) Records Center at (206) 296-6696 or permitrecords@kingcounty.gov. You can submit a King County Public Disclosure Request by following instructions found on the King County website.
