Public Notices update the public of upcoming development proposals within Shoreline. These notices encourage the community to provide publicly available comments. Public notices are typically needed to comply with state or local law. Not all developments or decisions within our city require us to provide a public notice.
On this webpage, you can find a list of public notices that have occurred within the last six months. These notices are typically posted in the Seattle Times (legal section), and a sign will be posted on the property. Depending on the type of notice, property owners within 500 feet of the property may also receive a notice by mail

8/12/2024 | Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Plan; SEPA DNS and SEPA Checklist | SEPA Threshold Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) |
Project Description: This is a non-project action. The Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Plan for the City of Shoreline outlines policies and strategies to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion through employer-based transportation programs that encourage the use of alternatives to single-occupant vehicle trips for commute purposes. This plan, as well as previous CTR plans and ordinances, has been developed to meet the requirements of the Washington State Commute Trip Reduction Act (RCW 70.94) initially adopted in 1991. In 2015, the Washington State Legislature updated the program to allow greater flexibility at the jurisdiction level to apply transportation demand management (TDM) strategies that better address local conditions. This plan has been prepared in accordance with those revisions. This plan applies to "affected major employers" in Shoreline who employ 100 or more full-time employees at a single worksite and who are scheduled to begin their workday on weekdays between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The plan also applies to "voluntary employers" who choose to participate in the program even though they do not meet the criteria to be affected. Building upon the accomplishments of the existing commute trip reduction program, as well as other successful TDM strategies, the plan outlines strategies Shoreline, along with other agencies, will implement to assist employers in meeting the goals of the plan. Comment Deadline: August 25, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. Project Manager: Steve Szafran, Senior Planner, 206-801-2512 or sszafran@shorelinewa.gov |
