Welcoming Week Workshop: Taking Anti-Racism and Inclusion to ACTION

Taking Anti-Racism and Inclusion to ACTION
Welcoming Week, an annual campaign of Welcoming America, is September 8-17.  The purpose is to build inclusive and welcoming communities for all people, regardless of differences.

This interactive workshop explores issues affecting people from diverse backgrounds, including People of Color and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Presented by community consultants Jolene Jang and Kevin P. Henry.

Attendees will:
• Gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of unconscious bias, microaggressions, and discrimination
• Learn how to increase unity through learning, compassion, and empathy
• Nurture an inclusive and welcoming community through anti-racist strategies
• Learn how to make positive change in their personal lives, the workplace, and community.
