Kellogg Middle School to Grace Cole Nature Park Walk - FREE

SHORELINE WALKS

Explore neighborhoods, parks and trails on some of the best walking routes in our City. Designed for adults ages 50+ but open to all ages and abilities, each walk is led by a Volunteer Walk Leader and all walks are free. No need to sign up, just show up at the meetup location and we'll take care of the rest!  Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to join.

Kellogg Middle School to Grace Cole Nature Park Walk - FREE
Get ready to sweat on this challenging walk with some big hills! We will walk downhill into Lake Forest Park from the school to the Grace Cole Nature Park entrance including the boardwalk into the pond and the steep loop through the park. We will return by the same route with a detour though Hamlin Park. Caution: This is a difficult walk and requires a decent level of fitness. Sturdy shoes with good traction and walking poles or sticks are recommended.
Walk Rating: Difficult (hills and park trails)
Walk is approximately: 3.4 miles, 2 hours.

  • Easy – up to 2 miles with mostly flat terrain and possibly an occasional hill.Suitable for strollers or wheel chairs.
  • Moderately Easy – up to 3 miles with some hills or occasional uneven terrain.Mostly still suitable for strollers or wheel chairs.
  • Moderate – up to 3 miles with some hills, trails, uneven ground or stairs.Not suitable for stroller or wheel chairs.
  • Difficult – Up to 3 miles (or more), with many hills, trails, uneven ground or stairs.Not suitable for stroller or wheel chairs.
