Train to become a Forest Steward in a Shoreline park
Are you interested in helping to lead ecological restoration work parties in Shoreline parks? You can join a current Forest Steward team or branch out on your own at a park approved for volunteer events. Learn material necessary to become a Forest Steward. We will learn outdoors at a site in Boeing Creek Park near the Shoreview off-leash dog park and then move indoors to a classroom at the Shoreline Community College. To attend this training, you must be able to commit to steward a park for at least one year in the city of Shoreline.

Date and time: March 29, 2024 from 3:00-6:30 p.m.
What to bring: Bring your enthusiasm, a water bottle, clothes that can get dirty, layers for the weather for the field session, and something to take notes on for the classroom session.
Where to park and meet: In the parking lot of the Shoreview Park off-leash dog park near Shoreline Community College.
