Permits and Development Information

The City of Shoreline processes and issues a variety of permits for construction and land development. The purpose of development permits and approvals is to ensure that:
  • Development occurs in a manner that is consistent with adopted plans, rules, and regulations; and to
  • Make sure infrastructure is in place to serve development.

Construction permits provide a mechanism to insure a safe built environment for the occupants and users of public and private buildings.

If you are looking for information on a project or its status the Permit Search page can help.

The flow chart below is designed to help guide you through the permitting process.
